Whinging? I was Showing it off! For pete's sake I didn't chose to play the sport because I'm scared of the ball!!!

Nice bruise, has it gone yellow yet? shame there is no broken skin :O)You want to liberally apply some arnica cream on that shiner and then practice your intercept hockey skills like karate kid.

Whoa! looks like it might have stung a bit..

I crashed my bike at night last year and had bruises from the tree branches.. but my bike pants don't look like your armour!

Ju's little sister said...

sting like a bee, float like a butterfly you reckon?

More like bounce like a moonhopper, charge like an ox.

;-)

not yellow yet, deep purple. It would be okay if Plumpy would stop standing on it in his effort to get cuddles...
Simon, did you roll over the edge of a cliff???

simon said...

Kind of a gully... the bike flipped in a sand wash out, thank goodness because the sand was soft and the bike undamaged.. but the gully and trees were not....

I looked like I had been beaten by a broom handle

what colur is it today??

Ju's little sister said...

It is just now showing a tinge of yellow below the purple :-)

Sounds like quite a crash! Did anyone see? What if you'd snapped your neck?

simon said...

it was pitch black and in the National park.

I could not see the damage until I got home.

I was seriously very lucky..
My briuses expanded, went green and yellow...... YUK!

OH! BTW I am thinkin g of getting my pilots licence, I want to fly a PTTS special... :o)

I just priced the lessons today

Ju's little sister said...

Ewwwwww yikes that looks very sore! Time to take up something safer like tiddlywinks I think;-)

Hee hee - there go those darn tiddley winks again!

The bruise is now a beautiful mix of lemon yellow and claret red, with just a tinge of the old purple left to line it.

Simon - looks like a sweet little plane. I'd rather be a passenger than a pilot though. And in a player like that, I'd rather be very very sure of my pilot!

I think you'll have fun though!

Ju's go to Glasairaviation.com

click on "aircraft" and then click on glasair 3,

this is my cousins other plane.. 300 hp... HUGE speed ( in the turbo) look at the specs and photos. I think its really beautiful!

He tells me its not easy to fly

Ju's little sister said...

Flying's easy Simon - it's landing that's hard. ;-) For exapmple, international commercial pilots only have to move the throttle for take off and landing, the auto-pilot handles the rest. (Of course they're paid the big bucks cos they have to know what do do in an emergency.)

That looks like a sweet little plane. I'm not sure about the lay-Z boy chairs though, wouldn't you fall asleep?

JUST AS WELL YOU DIDN'T NEED A REGISTERED NURSE!!
May be the Black Caps could use you as a backstop!
Love from Ju's little sister's aunt.

Ju's little sister said...

Lol - I didn't need a nurse, no, and I am thankful for that.

I did make a sound like an Ork when it struck though!!!

simon said...

orks are kiwis arn't they? :o)

Ju's little sister said...

No Simon, kiwi's are hobbits - short, hairy feet, several breakfasts, sweet as could be ;-)

Orks are bad, very bad.
