What medium do you think the image below has been painted on? Canvas? Card?

I think you'll be surprised:

Guessed yet?

I am not joking! The distribution boxes around my area are being painted, and now there are a few that really look quite lovely. Here's the one which is just at the end of my street:

This one is painted with native birds of New Zealand. I hope Maalie will enjoy naming them all for you as a reminder of what he's missing out on by insisting on living in a lesser country. ;-)

This next box is down near the local shopping park.

And the third box I visited is not yet finished, and I'm not sure when it will be as it has been in this state for quite some time!

And just to satisfy your curiosity, here's a zoom-out of the original image:

What a good idea, I think I will have a go at painting a few of the parked police cars around here, do you think they will like it?

How are you keeping?

Talking of painting, when you are old and gray you may get that painting I promised delivered to your door...sorry!

You know how to keep a girl interested Martin.

So make sure it's only a policewoman's car you paint!

What a brilliant idea! Some people here paint their wheelie bins, but I haven't got around to doing that yet.

Martin: it's 'grey' dear, not 'gray'.
Lovely to see you positing again.

Sorry I haven;t been around much, have been travelling in Europe!

I can see lots, NZ Woodpigeon, Tui, Takahe (or is it the Pukeko), Morepork (unless it's the NZ Falcon) and no doubt others. Nice post!

I bet Plumpy like it!
