Cooking Dinner - note that spuds were done first, then corn in same pot.
Actually the handle on the lid is metal, and I have to use a towel to lift it and check on my work.

Ready to eat

Are you home sick yet??

practical is about it. There's not a lot of flair in the living conditions here.

Nah.

Gosh, it's nothing like you see on the telly is it! You mean you COOK?? You don't eat out?

Seriously, well done Kiwi Counry Girl - #8 fencing wire thinking keeps you fed. (Tip - try warming or cooking the spuds in the microwave, corn too. Saves juggling pots and getting burnt fingers.)
Loved the kettle!

Remember, lives depend on your assiduous attention to detail in those manuals. Also, its not a good look to fail a test you wrote!

Keep chipping on and keeping us updated. Now, San Franncisco is MUCH more interesting!

Ah yes, the microwave. Now it is all well and good having a microwave, but not a lot of use for veges if you don't have any microwave-safe bowls. I do now have one and will be glad to follow friendly helpful tips.

I do eat out, but I'm finding that cooking is alleviating the boredom a little. Never mind, when training starts in earnest there will only be study.

I mean to talk to you about SFO, Auntie. I'll be needing an email from you detailing all the must-sees and must-dos. Please.
:-D Lurve you!

Thanks for putting these pics up. Now I can visualise where you are some of the time. Your steak and mushrooms look lovely. How are you coming on with your driving?
It has been wet and cold here :-(

Mmmm steak! Note to self - buy mushrooms.
My Dad was revolutionised when I dropped my broocoli in on top of the already cooking pasta! Glad to see you're taking care of yourself - is that the Whattaburger ysign you can see out your window?

I lurve mushies. Heh, see you're just a kiwi girl who thinks outside the square, and to the rest it's revolutionary.

And yep, that sure is the Whataburger sign - it really is just next door.

'Fraid I'm with Lorenzo on the meat.

I much prefer cooking myself to eating out over longe rperiods if I'm away form home. I find it quite relaxing. I imagine you have to put a lot more thought into the preparation so as you only have the two hot plates.

That steak looks delicious. I suppose you put a couple of fried eggs on it?
